ISSUE 3 goes to the printer… TODAY. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I just finished perusing the proof copy of issue 3. As we’ve been digitally gathering, editing, designing, correcting, and refining over the past couple months, I’d gotten a little lost in the weeds.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

There was some renewed magic this morning though, in holding the final copy in my hands. And in my looking through it, holding my stack of post-it notes on which to record devious errors, I instead discovered a hundred new little details that I hadn’t even noticed yet. There are so many special, thoughtful touches from our designer, from our writers, from our artists- some of them hilarious dashes of subtle humor, some of them just above-and-beyond design or literary touches that makes every corner of the magazine ready to be inspected and give back to the reader for the effort. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

These are the things that you just don’t catch on a quick scroll through an internet feature. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I did litter the proof with post its, but they ended up being observations of things I loved and hadn’t caught before. I’m sure it’s not 100% perfect, but thanks to the meticulous efforts of @9aceramics (feature edits and main proofing), @kyezus& @vleighartworks (main proofing), @ashtonobadiah & @taylredwards (2nd round proofing), it’s polished up pretty nice. And of course, without @kaylamonteleone and her army of designers, there would be no magazine at all. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
