🎬 FilmSpiva 48-Hour Film Competition
A great opportunity to flex your video-making skills. The 48-Hour Film Festival is an exciting and adrenaline-fueled event that brings filmmakers, creatives, and cinephiles together for a whirlwind weekend of creativity. Participants are given just two days to write, shoot, edit, and produce a short film from scratch.
It's a mad dash against the clock, as teams brainstorm ideas, scout locations, gather props, and assemble a crew. The competition cultivates a sense of camaraderie in the filmmaking community, as teams bond over late-night editing sessions, ☕️coffee-fueled brainstorming meetings, and the shared love for the art of storytelling. 🎬
The resulting films showcase the ingenuity, resourcefulness, and passion of the filmmakers, and the competition culminates in a thrilling screening event where audiences get to experience the magic of multiple films created in a mere 48 hours. It's an exhilarating celebration of creativity, collaboration, and the power of film.
BEGINS AT: Harry M. Cornell Complex, 212 West 7th St. at 6pm Friday, July 7th to receive the criteria.
They will then have 48 hours to complete a 4-minute or less short film.
48 WINDOW CLOSES: The deadline to submit entries is 6:30pm Sunday, July 9th at the Harry M. Cornell Complex.
WHAT’S THE BILL?: Cost per team is $25.

Films will be screened Saturday, July 22nd at Bookhouse Cinema, 715 E. Broadway Street, Joplin, MO.
